Reason for rescue request::     Owner died suddenly of cancer.  We already have 3 dogs and do not have the yard space for two more.  Free to good home.  Has long haired tufts.

The last training session was attended by 14 dogs, most of which were puppies and all of them swam for the first time at only a few months old !! There was even attendance from as far away as Rustenburg, so if you were thinking of attending last week and did not, it’s still not too late to come and keep coming leading up to the Ratings in June.

Training sessions will consist of the following parts:

1) Training the dogs to find planted birds in the field (the essential requirement of the NSD test)
2) Training the dogs to retrieve on land
3) Training the dogs to retrieve in water (2 and 3 are the requirements of the NRD test)

The venue should be very convenient for people in Gauteng and there is no bundu bashing involved so no need to have a 4×4 to join us, just bring your dogs and let them enjoy doing what they were bred to do. There should be quite a few puppies attending so if you have a new puppy bring it along to socialise and maybe learn something from the experience. We are essentially training the owners at these sessions since the dogs already know what to do in most cases, they just need a bit of support from their owners.

* Treats for the dogs

I got your number from Heather King. I have a Weimaraner that I got from the SPCA in 2006. My husband passed away and we had to move from our home. Current I am in a Townhouse Complex but the area is not suitable for the dog. My heart is broken and is looking for a good home. Could you perhaps assist?
