Additional Shooting Ratings and Hunt Presentation

Additional Shooting Ratings and Hunt Presentation

Because this year we have a German Championship Show Judge who is also a Hunting Test Judge in Germany, we would like to hold a second Shooting Ratings this year to coincide with Mrs Tanja Breu-Knaup’s visit to the country.

Mrs Breu-Knaup will be holding a presentation about Hunting and Hunt Tests the afternoon. Anyone can attend the presentation without entering any of the Ratings tests. Cost of attendance is a lunch ticket, so you do not need to bring a dog or enter a test to attend the presentation
It will as always be held at Oppiedam near Nigel on 23rd September 2017 – this is the weekend after the Championship Show.
We will only be hosting a limited number of tests this time – only Novice Retriever Dog and Retriever Dog, which will take place the morning, and then after lunch there will be a presentation by Mrs Breu-Knaup on hunting and hunting tests in Germany
We need to organize the following before then:1) Arrange for birds for the tests
2) Arrange for catering
3) Arrange guns, throwers etc for the tests.

In order to plan and organize the Ratings successfully, we require
your input as to how many people will be attending and how many dogs
will be entering in each test.

1) How many dogs will you be entering?
2) In which tests will you be entering the dogs?
3) How many additional people, if any, will be joining you for lunch?

Because we get the use of the venue for free, we are required to make
use of the catering and cash bar for the day. Therefore we require
each handler of a dog to also pay for lunch. Cost of the catering on
the day will be R150 per person, which will also include coffee and
sandwiches on arrival.

The tests that will be offered this time and their costs are :

Novice Retrieving Dog: Club Members – R150, Non-members – R200 per dog entered
Retrieving Dog: Club Members – R150, Non-members – R200 per dog entered

Note: Your dog must first have passed Novice Shooting Dog before being able to take part in these tests, and to enter Retrieving Dog, your dog must have passed Novice Retrieving Dog.

All Weimaraners are welcome, registered and unregistered

Please let us know who will be attending and entering which test by
email to [email protected] or by phoning 082 896 0378. This
should please be done by 25th August.

All entries and payments for tests and lunch close on the 9th September.
Please make use of the entry form attached – print, complete and then
scan and email back to [email protected] or fax to (011)
507-5576.

One form should be filled in for each dog entered. Also mark on the

where it says Lunch). Proof of Payment should be sent along with the
entry form(s).
